Minister for Land Information
Maurice Williamson has been MP for Pakuranga since 1987. He is a former Minister of Research, Science & Technology, Communications, Statistics, Information Technology, Transport, Local Government and Broadcasting.
He currently holds the Land Information, Building and Construction, Customs and Statistics portfolios. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics & Mathematics, and is a keen believer that if we can better connect our geospatial information the results will be as life changing as the introduction of the internet.
Minister Williamson is a member of the Pakuranga Rotary Club, of the International Federation of Operations Research Societies (IFORS) and was appointed a Fellow of the NZ Computer Society in 1995.
